Blue Knights Boys’ Club
What is Blue Knights Boys’ Club?
A Fun, Flexible, Faith-filled Catholic Club for boys ages 5 and up.
The Blue Knights Catholic Club is a boys’ club aimed at teaching the truths of the Catholic faith to boys through Scripture, saints’ biographies, games, crafts and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Based on the popular Little Flowers Girls’ Club, this program developed by retired Marine, theologian and Catholic author, Dan McGuire maps out nine virtues for boys ages 5 and up in the first year, and then follows up with four years covering nine catechetical lessons each.
The club guides include lessons in the Faith, activities, saints’ biographies, suggested talks, craft ideas and game suggestions. If you desire a more encompassing program, extra badges and service medals can be earned through activities encouraging a Catholic world view. Patron saint badges, major badges and medals are all available.
The program is designed to be led by men for boys. The Leader’s Guides for each year contain everything the busy dad needs to start and run his own Blue Knights Club. The Member’s Guides contain lists of activities, saints’ biographies, awe-inspiring coloring pictures, and prayers. Blue Knights Members should each have their own own Member’s Guides as photocopying is not permitted.
The boys keep track of their progress by earning badges that form shields to proudly display on their Crusader breastplates. Each year also has its own colored cape (blue, green, red, gold, or purple) to mark your Blue Knight’s advancement through the program.
Leaders should have fun with the program and use the flexibility to choose the items that are right for your group’s needs. God bless you in your work for His work!
