Wearing Crowns for Christ! Our logo incorporates symbols each with their own meaning.
The Cross: Underneath the pearl, set in the gold of the crown, are the CROSS and the STAR OF BETHLEHEM. These two symbols represent the Princess's two great tasks which she accomplishes with great grace from her Lord. The cross symbolizes her task to reach heaven. It is through love, the complete gift of self in sacrifice (the Passion) and great joy (Easter), that the heavenly Princess reaches her King in heaven. The star of Bethlehem symbolizes her task to bring others to heaven as well, that is, her call to be an apostle. Just as the star of Bethlehem brought the three gentile kings to the manger, the heavenly Princess brings those around her to God, especially to God in the Eucharist.
The Pearls:
At the top of the crown is the PEARL OF GREAT PRICE, the jewel of friendship with God which a heavenly Princess would surrender everything for and which she guards and cares for in the inner chambers of her heart, her Lord's palace. This pearl also symbolizes the Eucharist and her vocation. It is through her vocation that she can come closest to God in friendship. It is also through her vocation that she joins herself to her Lord in the Eucharist since her life is being offered up for God in the way that he has called her to (marriage, religious life, single life, consecrated, etc.). The pearl rests on two rubies which symbolize CONTEMPLATIVE LIFE and ACTIVE LIFE, the two ways through which we make our friendship with God grow and prosper. The ruby of the contemplative life symbolizes prayer and the sacraments, while the ruby of the active life symbolizes charity and evangelization. These are also the two ways in which we live our vocations.
The Gems: The channels of sanctifying grace flow from the fountains of Baptism into the golden heart of the Princess, which is a HEART OF THE GOSPEL, that is, a heart which imitates Christ, her Lord. Thus, at the center of each golden heart, is the garnet of IMITATION OF CHRIST. The garnet is a deep red gemstone which symbolizes the deep love of Christ filling the heart of his Princess and saving her by the drops of his Precious Blood. Around each garnet are four blue sapphires. These symbolize IMITATION OF OUR LADY. There are four for each letter in the word FIAT, Our Lady's "Yes" to God at the Annunciation, the keyword of the entire Gospel and the word which each Princess must live in order to be a beautiful Princess like Our Lady, the Queen of Heaven. There are eight sapphires in total, symbolizing the eight beatitudes of the way of the Gospel, which the life of Mary exemplifies par excellence.
Along the bottom of the crown are four gemstones of rose quartz, symbolizing the four CARDINAL VIRTUES. Quartz is a strong stone. The four cardinal virtues are the pillars upon which the heavenly Princess must build her life of virtue on a day to day basis. Along the top of the crown, there are twelve rubies in total. These twelve rubies symbolize the twelve FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, which blossom within the soul of the heavenly Princess because of her friendship with God her creator, Christ her redeemer, and the Holy Spirit her sanctifier.
The Roses:The Lilies:
On either side of the cross are the CHRISTMAS ROSE and the EASTER LILY. These symbolize the two great mysteries of Christ’s life - the incarnation and the resurrection. The red and white colors also symbolize the blood and water which came from the Sacred Heart of Christ on the cross, from which the Church, the Princess's Kingdom, was born. From these two mysteries, two channels of sanctifying grace flow out, shown by the two veins of gold. These veins burst forth in the form of a fountain, symbolizing the WATERS OF BAPTISM, by which the soul of the heavenly Princess is washed clean through sanctifying grace. She becomes a child of God and the BLESSED TRINITY comes to dwell in her heart as their temple. The Blessed Trinity is symbolized by the trinity knot resting above each fountain. Around the trinity knots are six rubies. The group of three rubies surrounding the trinity knot on the right symbolizes the three EVANGELICAL COUNSELS. The heavenly Princess receives the call to live these three counsels at her Baptism since this is the time when she receives her vocation. The group of three rubies surrounding the trinity knot on the left symbolizes the three THEOLOGICAL VIRTUES. The seeds of these virtues are planted in our souls at Baptism. Without the waters of Baptism, we cannot make acts of Faith, Hope, and Love. A truly beautiful heavenly Princess polishes these jewels everyday by reciting her Acts of Faith, Hope, and Love.
The Gold and Diamond Wings: On either side the crown is shaped into two wings. These are the wings of FAITH AND REASON, the wings by which the soul ascends to God (in the words of Pope John Paul the Great). The right wing, the wing of Faith, is topped by the PEARL OF TRUTH AND GRATITUDE. This pearl symbolizes the truth which comes to the soul through REVELATION. It is flanked by two rubies symbolizing SCRIPTURE and TRADITION. This pearl is also the pearl of gratitude since the truths of revelation come to the soul through God alone. It is the handmaid to the Pearl of Great Price because it is with great gratitude and thanksgiving that we must receive Our Lord in the Eucharist. The word 'eucharist' in fact means 'thanksgiving.' The left wing, the wing of Reason, is topped by the PEARL OF TRUTH AND HUMILITY. This pearl symbolizes the truth which comes to the soul through the INTELLECT. It is flanked by two rubies symbolizing FREE WILL and BEAUTY. Through our free will, we can pursue what is true and good with our intellect, and through beauty, God draws the soul closer to him since beauty is a reflection of what is good and true. This pearl is also the pearl of humility since our intellect can only bring us so far until God has to take over. Everything we know we know only because God allowed us to know it. This pearl is the second handmaid to the Pearl of Great Price because it is with great humility that we must receive Our Lord in the Eucharist. God's gift of himself in the Eucharist is the greatest act of humility.
Finally, the crown is made of gleaming gold because it has been refined by the REFINER'S FIRE. It reflects the face of Him who made the heart of the Princess - the face of God. The great craftsman of the crown is the HOLY SPIRIT, the Sanctifier, who refines our hearts little by little every day.
