The Holy Father is chosen by the Holy Spirit to lead the Catholic Church in the world. He is our Shepherd and we look to him to guide us closer to God. It is especially important to support the Holy Father with our prayers. In his weekly audiences, the Holy Father has been giving catechism on the family and let us join the Holy Father in his prayer for married couples and families that they may live holy lives.

PRAYER FOR THE HOLY FATHER

God, the Shepherd and Ruler of all Your faithful people, mercifully look upon Your servant Pope Francis, whom You have chosen as the chief Shepherd to preside over Your Church. We beg You to help him lead us with his words and example that he may reach everlasting life together with us, the flock you entrusted to him. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

QUOTE FROM THE HOLY FATHER

Jesus’ presence with the widow at Na’in assures us that he is with us in our darkest moments and that he is with us in our loss and mourning. Above all, may we always be witnesses to the love which Christ revealed through his cross and resurrection, a love stronger than death. Let us also be grateful for our faith in him, which is the only adequate response to our deepest needs.
